Turiba is one of the leading higher educational institutions in Latvia with a stable tradition and a clear vision of common European educational space.
Founded in 1993, Turiba is proud of its 4826 students and 12'000 alumni in Academic Year 2012/2013.
The University has been admitted as member in the AACSB International, The Association to Advance Colegiate Schools of Business, which unites the leading higher educational institutions of business, in EURASHE - European Association of Institutions in Higher Education and E.L.F.A., European Law Faculties Association.
For the study programme Management of tourism and hospitality companies the accreditation of the UN/WTO – World Tourism Organisation – WTO TedQual certificate has been granted. Turiba has become the first higher education institution in the Baltic region and Scandinavian countries, which has received the accreditation by the World Tourism Organisation and the high evaluation by internationally recognised experts.
