Students Union

Students Union contributes to a significant extent to the internationalization and international cooperation at WUT.

The main role in this activity is played by a special team who is in charge of international affairs - International Matters Committee of Students Union. The Committee represents Polish and foreign students before the University authorities and is responsible for expenditures on international cooperation of students organizations. They collect and share information on international scholarships, internships and educational programs for students. International Affairs Committee is a link between the University (represented by authorities and Centre for International Cooperation) and all students.

Flagship project of this Committee is the organization of student exchanges with Düsseldorf, Kyiv, Budapest and St. Petersburg, organization of European Dimension Activities during ATHENS Programme, the cycle of cultural events Feel The World and the cycle of languages lessons. Students Union and International Affairs Committee associate several main student organizations at WUT which are related to international cooperation.

International Students Association

ISA main areas of activity are as follows:

- to unite international students (main target group - full time students);

- to address the issues of international students on various levels;

- to organise frequent get-togethers in form of group discussions, parties and outings;

- The Run Mentor programme.

Research Groups

At Warsaw University of Technology, there are over 100 student research groups. Research projects conducted by students allow to combine knowledge gained in the course of study with practical skills, they familiarize students with the process of designing, building and promoting a new product. These projects often have a pioneering character and attract outside investors. All research groups are supervised by the Council of Research Groups of Warsaw University of Technology.

WUT Sports Club

AZS PW was established in 1916, at present it is a leading academic club in Poland.

It runs 37 sports sections with over 1000 training students.

AZS PW sportspeople regularly take part in masters sports competitions, i.a. Academic Championships of Warsaw and Mazowsze Voivodship, Polish Championships of Universities and Polish Championships of Technical Universities, and they take winning places in the general classifications during these competitions.

The club is especially proud of its volleyball team who play in PlusLiga (the Polish Volleyball League) and the basketball team who play in EkstraKlasa (the Polish Basketball League).
