If possible, the students attending the “Orientation Programme” will be accommodated in their permanent term-time rooms upon arrival. If this is not possible, for example if the room is occupied by vacation residents or is being refurbished, temporary accommodation will be allocated. You will be informed by the dormitory (hall of residence) manager when you can move to your permanent room.
Although the dormitories/halls of residence are open 24 hours every day, the office is open only during the day (8:00 – 15:30). Students arriving after office hours will be accommodated by the receptionist on duty, and they will have to register on the following day.
To check-in you need your passport, two photographs, and you will fill in some forms. You’ll have to pay insurance against damage and loss and for the accommodation for the rest of the relevant month.
Make sure that you have enough cash for the following:
1. EXPENSES
You will need at least 5000 CZK (about 200 EUR) for the start.
2. REFUNDABLE SECURITY DEPOSIT
You will also need another 5000 CZK (about 200 EUR) for a deposit to cover for any damage caused by you or for outstanding fees or charges owed by you. This deposit will be refunded to you at the end of your stay, minus any amounts owed by you.
